Passing the BUCK

Our 33rd President was a Democrat. Harry S. Truman. He famously had a sign on his desk that said, "The Buck Stops Here". This was meant to tell the nation, to tell the wold, that no matter what came before him, as president, he was responsible for the present. I write this because in the past 2 or 3 days I have heard nothing from the Democrat pundits but the name George Bush. He evidently is responsible for all the ills Pres. Obama has had to deal with for the past 4 years. Pres. Obama did not "inherit" these problems. He wanted to be president, he campaigned to be president. He knew there were problems, but he told us he was the man for the job. He could fix things...He could change things...Well, how's that change working for you? He is the polar opposite of Harry S. Truman. Pres. Obama takes no responsibility for the mess we are in. Bush did leave the US with a sizable debt. But it has grown exponentially under the presidency of Barak Obama. He takes no responsibility. He continues to blame George Bush for everything. He has held the presidency for 4 years. We are deeper in debt. Unemployment is still very high. Our lives as Americans are NO BETTER then they were 4 years ago. Yet he still blames Bush. Man up Mr. President! You are President of the greatest country in the world. You have done nothing to fulfill the promises you made to be elected. I want a president who will take charge and also take responsibility. You have had your chance. Next...

Pants on Fire

Biden, hope,
Watching the president's state of the union address.
Will he ever stop blaming Bush for everything?
We should all blame Bush... for keeping us safe for years after 9-11.
We should all blame Bush for keeping our taxes low.

Right now he's talking about "doing it together" as far as the Dems and Republicans. But even in this speech he has blamed the Republicans for all the ills of this country. He's right now saying he's not interested in blaming the other guy, as he has just blamed the other guy at least 6 or 7 times in the last 20 minutes. He's making no friends on the other side of the aisle. He's blowing smoke...cause his pants are on fire...as in liar, liar...

Now he's going to make lots of buddies in the military. We need all the resources we can get, Michelle and Biden are going to support military families. Did he tell you his health care plan will cut military health care and raise premiums and co pays. Limits will be placed on physical therapy for veterans and their dependents. So if you are a vet who has a stroke and need months of physical therapy...oh well, You really don't need to use both hands, do you? These cuts to retired military who have served many years and were promised benefits that are eroding like the beaches in California.
Pants on fire!
60 minutes of I, I, I, me, me, me...and he's still going.

"Values that built our nation..." How about One Nation under God, In God We Trust. He didn't mention those values.

Now he's whining about how we have all misunderstood. The Hope and Change he promised...remember that? Well, he can't do it alone. So it's our fault that he is not successful. Well now, that is a blame I will gladly accept. There is a change. People are becoming more aware, more involved, more vocal. People who up until now have sat back quietly and watched the political process from the sidelines. These people are saying NO...No...No. We won't quit, we will fight to keep our country from the change Obama hopes for.
Lets see how well he and the Dems work with the Republicans in the next few weeks, if it happens, how long it lasts. I don't believe it for a minute.
Pant on fire!!!

Gone Fishn'

The White House wants you all to report "fishy" emails regarding healthcare issues...
The following was released this week...

"These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov"

Now just listen to these two, are they serious? I should be totally offended. Instead I feel positive the left is floundering ( get it?...floundering...) Subversives are soooo funny...

IS SHE FOR REAL ? OR JUST REALLY CRAZY ?

This article is quite interesting...
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/White-House-advises-Dems-on-apf-161198401.html?x=0

It is all so blatantly obvious. These same people who ranted, and screamed with hatred agaist the last president and EVERYTHING he did, now are having hissy fits that we dare to oppose this president. Freedom of speech is for all Americans. I am amazed at the reaction I am witnessing from the Democrats and the Whitehouse. I actually feel empowered. Evidently a bunch of well dressed middle aged folks who are showing up at meetings and rallys across the US are striking fear into the hearts of the administration. Rock on older dudes!!!!

I think I may take Joanna's advice and stop watching the news. She says she enjoys living in her "Happy little world" and the news just makes her depressed. She's right. But I can't do it. I must watch it all, like a train wreck in slow motion. This is the 1st time in my 52 years that I am really fearful for my country. It causes anxiety and worry. I do not have confidence in our current administration, that they know what they are doing. Even worse, that they do know what they are doing and are selling us down the river. Today Geithner said he is open to the Chinese suggestion of a world currency...WHAT THE....? Is he serious? Billions, trillions, so many numbers, so many zeros. I watched President Obama yesterday, I don't feel better, I don't feel confident, I don't fell like he gets it. I think Americans all over the country are beginning to understand the importance of experience. The presidency of the United States of America is not the place to learn on the job. It is becoming very apparent that Obama is in over his head. If the president of the US is in over his head then the rest of us are crab food on the bottom of the sea.

I like Capitalism.
I like the rewards of working hard.
But...
I'm afraid that the people getting the rewards may not be the ones working hard.
I'm afraid the those who understand personal responsibility will be responsible for those who don't.
I'm afraid that as we lower standards and take away the incentive to work hard and do well more people will do less and expect more from the gov't.

I read a quote from a protester in San Francisco this week. She said: "Jail the rich, help the poor..." I guess she thinks it's a crime to work hard and be successful. I guess she doesn't understand that successful people have businesses that employ other people, they pay salaries, they put dollars into retirement accounts, they help pay for health insurance, and they pay lots and lots of taxes. Taxes that fund food stamps, subsidised housing, Medicaid, Aid to Dependent children, WIC, subsidised bus passes, state operated job training, GED classes...the list goes on and on. They also are responsible for much of the charitable donations to non-profit agencies in the country. Agencies that feed the hungry, house the homeless, give free clothing, furniture, household items...
Do recipients believe there is just a big room somewhere in the government? A big room just filled with money? Money that just magically appeared?
I got news for them...
There are people who work hard for that money!

I'm glad there are rich people. I wish I was rich. Back in the day most people had goals of being successful and making enough money to live well. Why is that a bad thing?

It's not a bad thing! It's a great thing!
It's the American dream.
It's the reason thousands of immigrants still come to the US every year.
It's the reason that millions of people have entered the US illegally as well.
It's a great country.
Still.
It's our country and we need to work and pray hard to keep it that way.
